Hempel Glasmuseum
Hempel Glass Museum
In 1965, the ship paint manufacturer J.C. Hempel founded this beautiful museum. He had a passion for glass art and collected rare glass pieces on his travels, which became Northern Europe's largest private collection. His vision was to create a cultural center that could house art exhibitions and cultural activities in Odsherred.
The Hempel Glass Museum is located at Annebjerggaard Manor with an impressive view over Nykøbing Bay and the Isefjord. Today, the museum continues to fulfill Hempel's visions with permanent and changing exhibitions as well as cultural events. Restaurant Anneberg, situated beneath the museum, offers brunch and lunch with a fantastic view over the Isefjord. It is recommended to make a reservation.

What is art? Poetry slammer and stage poet Dennis Buchleitner will present his interpretation of poetry slam and stage poetry at the opening of the Art Days in Odsherred on May 18th. Come and experience Dennis Buchleitner's performance "That is Art," which he has written specifically for the Hempel Glass Museum.
