Ulkerup-sjælene
Ulkerup Forest.
In the midst of Ulkerup Forest stand nine large ceramic figures, created by the architect and visual artist Per Pandrup and the ceramic designer Martin Nybo Jensen.
A group of seven hooded Ulkerup Souls was erected in 2010 on the open village plot in Ulkerup Forest. This visualized the legend of the lost people as part of the overall story of the Ulkerup people. Later, the group of seven hooded figures was expanded with two additional members, who stand a little apart from the group.
According to legend, one can clearly hear the Ulkerup Souls whispering to each other when passing them in the twilight, and at nighttime, the figures come alive to visit their former home in the forest.
