Hov Vig Naturreservat
There are many different experiences to be had in Hov Vig. One of them is "rådhuset" where you have the opportunity to get information about the natural areas in Odsherred while also sitting and observing the birds in peace and quiet. Mallards, mute swans, coots, and tufted ducks are found nearby, and in the water, you can find large carp and shoals of roaches.
Additionally, there is also the bird tower. From the bird tower, you can enjoy an impressive view over the entire reserve. The sturdy tower can accommodate about 25 people and provides shelter from the weather.
It is constructed of oak and has a roof made of cedar shingles. From the top of the tower, you can see all the way to the harbor in Nykøbing on one side, and on the other side, you can see the water tower in Rørvig. But most importantly, you get up close to the birds. In total, 267 species have been recorded in the area.
Among the birds you can spot from the tower are lapwings, herons, ducks, and geese.
Hov Vig is definitely worth a visit and a place where you can spend plenty of time.
